About the GMIC

Located at the Glen Abbey Golf Club in Oakville, Ontario, the Golf Management Institute of Canada has served the education and training needs of the golf industry since September 1999. The GMIC has been designed to meet the training requirements of the golf industry by serving as a "graduate or finishing school," focusing on the development of management skills specific to the business of golf.

Our core product offering is a Graduate Studies Diploma in Golf Operations Management, a program specifically designed for individuals interested in pursuing a management career in the golf industry. The program is comprised of 10 golf management courses offered online throughout the year.

Upon completing the program, students will obtain a Graduate Studies Diploma in Golf Operations Management from the GMIC and a Certificate of Completion in Golf Operations from Wilfrid Laurier University.

We are committed to working with colleges and universities throughout Canada and abroad to assist in the development and delivery of golf diploma and certificate programs.

In association with its industry and academic partners, the GMIC also offers golf-specific seminars, workshops and custom training solutions to meet your organizational training requirements.
